sidecar not showing in system preferences

Apple disclaims any and all liability for the acts, omissions and conduct of any third parties in connection with or related to your use of the site. Trust your Mac Incompatibilities that result in Sidecar not working could also be caused by your iPad lacking trust verification with Go to System Preferences Apple ID on your Mac. i cant think of any hardware requirement that would prevent it from working on earlier Macs. Same issue here. The only communications channel I had available at the time when I as testing it out wirelessly was bluetooth... so it would list my iPad in the sidecar/airplay dropdown and when I selected it it would say timed out... bluetooth by itself will not work, and since my mac mini only uses bluetooth and I use wired networking... it did not negotiate a direct link. I cannot get the setting to open in system preferences in my Mac too. it seems like I found the problem when I was browsing a german blog that noticed, that only iPads supporting the Apple Pencil are supported. Search for keywords, tags ([Tag Name]), and users (user:appleseed). Turn Off/On Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Handoff For Sidecar to work, both of your devices have to be on the same Wi-Fi connection. Now, make sure 2FA option is ON. Is there a known workaround? It disconnected entirely several times. I have a timed out message when selecting the iPad from the dropdown (Mac Mini 2018). This feature can currently be enabled on older Macs with a workaround, but the quality is pretty bad.
A recent upgrade to OS X 10.10 has not resolved the problem. AirDisplay may have gotten sherlocked with Sidecar. Even after changing the default the Sidecar preferences pane did not appear in System Prefrences, and it wasn't clear to me that there was an easy way to see it. Note that you have be signed in with the same Apple-ID on both devices. You are using an out of date browser. Even after changing the default the Sidecar preferences pane did not appear in System Prefrences, and it wasn't clear to me that there was an easy way to see it. Doh, followup on the wireless.... realized that the timeout is just poor error messaging.

Finally apple made one feature that is actually usefull and they restrict it. I have a Macbook Air 2013 and iPad Pro 2018 and I was receiving the same error message. Overall it was useable, but a poor experience. iPad using Gen 6 but that doesn't matter if the preference isn't there. I have my iPad Pro (11-inch) on iPadOS 13 connected to my MacbookPro 15" running Catalina via the provided USB-C to USB-C cable but when trying to access Sidecar I get the following error: You can’t open the “Sidecar” preferences pane because it is not available to you at this time.
